ABOUT SARAH

Oh Hello!

I’m Sarah Jenks and I’d love to start with telling you why I’m not like most nutritionists..

After close to 50 failed diets since my first weight watchers meeting at twelve years old, I finally lost 40 pounds and kept it off through discovering some pretty counter intuituve weight loss practices.

Since then I’ve made is my mission to help women get out of body-jail with counting calories or stepping foot on a treadmill (unless you love treadmills of course).

I have helped countless women change their emotional relationship with food and their bodies and have coached brides to looking and feeling drop dead gorgeous, confident and calm on their wedding day.

I’ve been through it, the diets that put your life on hold, the pints of ice cream you want to put down so badly, the desire to be with someone so intensely but you just can’t imagine they could ever love someone who looks like you. I escaped the tornado of reckless eating, restrictive diets and crushing self-hatred.

I’ve helped women end bingeing forever, walk around naked proudly, feel sexy in a t-shirt and jeans, step into a bigger game after putting down their preoccupation with weight, love herself just the way she is, lose 20 pounds, go from shy to gregarious, self-conscious to doing a boudoir shoot, revive her relationship and discover her divine purpose.

To be clear, I am a foodie not a health-nut.  I don’t believe in willpower, I believe in the power of pleasure.  I love kale AND butter (especially together).  I prefer dance clubs over treadmills and wine over wheatgrass. I believe that every woman deserves a body she loves, a man who worships her and a career that fulfills her.  Anything less and you’re wasting your time.

Here’s more about my personal life…

I just got married in June to an amazing man and the next day we got on a plane and moved from New York City to San Francisco.  I’m really into booty shakin’, hiking, maple syrup, canoeing, interior design, warm chocolate chip cookies, domino magazine (RIP), heirloom tomatoes, Marianne Williamson, really expensive dinners out, french linen, my red creuset, champagne, jorts, anthropologie, yogi tea tags, singing, Geneen Roth and hangin’ with my ladies.

Philosophy:

Sarah helps women all over the world fall in love with their bodies, and she is on a mission to change the way brides prepare for their wedding.  She believes that too many women feel pressure to starve themselves for months just to be thin and perfect for one day… only to feel stressed, depleted and ready to gain all the weight back on the honeymoon.

A seasoned nutrition coach, Sarah brings her expertise in helping women cultivate their ideal body and life to the bridal community.  She feels that brides are in a very unique and complicated time in their lives and need support around health and lifestyle more than ever.

Sarah Jenks is not your typical nutrition coach.  She believes that the true secret to lasting health is not to create foolproof diet plans and spend hours discussing the importance of working out, but to examine the reasons behind each woman’s choice of what she eats.  Our relationships, career, pleasure, confidence, history and our connection with our bodies all create our relationship with food.  Sarah believes that you can talk about the benefits of broccoli until you are blue in the face, but real change won’t happen until we pull back the veil of fad diets and calorie counting to reveal the true cause of our over eating.
